WHAT IS SPORTS MASSAGE?
Sports massage is soft tissue manipulation
focusing on muscles, tendons and ligaments.
It emphasizes stretching and increasing
range of motion to release tension from
every day activity that can lead to muscle
imbalances and potential injury. It is not
only for those engaged in sport, anyone
can benefit to obtain optimum physical power
and performance.
HOW?
Combining
classical Swedish style massage with deep
tissue manipulation, trigger points and
compression. Muscles are stretched, adhesions
between muscle and bone and any scar tissue
is broken down increasing joint mobility
and promoting pain relief.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT A TREATMENT?
During the first appointment, you will
need to allow an extra 15 minutes, for a
consultation to take place. You will be
asked a number of questions about your general
health, past medical history, and answer
any questions you may have about massage
in general or the treatment session itself.
During a massage areas of tension are detected
through variation in the soft tissues, diagnosis
is made and treated accordingly.
